Kelly Rowland has shared words of advice for KATSEYE as the girl group continues to navigate changes to its lineup. In an interview with Rolling Stone published on September 2, 2026, the former Destiny’s Child member spoke about the importance of protecting mental and physical health in the demanding music industry. The R&B star, who experienced lineup changes during her own career with her group, encouraged the members to balance their responsibilities as a group with their individual needs.
“In an industry as fast-paced as music, where there are constantly eyes on you and pressure to keep rising, your health is one of the most sacred things you have,” the Destiny’s Child singer said.
Rowland explained that artists can support their fans and their group while still respecting their personal needs and taking care of their health. Interestingly, Destiny’s Child went through several lineup changes before becoming one of the most successful girl groups in music history as a trio. Initially, the girl group was made up of Beyoncé, LeToya Luckett, LaTavia Roberson, and Rowland. Then, Luckett and Roberson were replaced by Michelle Williams and Farrah Franklin. Franklin also left the group, making Destiny’s Child a three-member team in its most popular lineup.
“My advice to the KATSEYE girls would be to listen to themselves, be kind to themselves, and continue supporting one another through every season,” she shared with Rolling Stone. “Especially on tour, it’s so important to intentionally carve out time to rest and reset in their daily routines. Taking care of your mind and body is what allows you to bounce back, stay resilient, and keep doing what you love.”
KATSEYE originally debuted with Daniela, Lara, Manon, Megan, Sophia, and Yoonchae. Manon was put on hiatus in February 2026 to focus on her health and well-being, while Sophia stepped away from group activities in August to prioritize her mental health. The remaining four members have continued to publicly support their fellow band members. Despite the lineup changes, they released the “WILD” EP and embarked on the Wildworld Tour, which began on September 1, 2026, with the group performing as a quartet.
