Megan breaks silence on KATSEYE’s festival cancellation after her ankle injury

The singer said she was heartbroken to miss Olivia Rodrigo’s inaugural festival

Megan broke the silence about KATSEYE’s decision to cancel their performance at Daisy Chain Fields after she sprained her ankle during rehearsal. On August 27, 2026, the group announced that they would no longer perform at Olivia Rodrigo’s inaugural charity festival. Following the withdrawal, Megan shared a message on Instagram saying she was heartbroken to miss the event and sending her love to Olivia Rodrigo and the fans for their support. After KATSEYE withdrew, alternative pop singer Devon Again joined the lineup.

“I’m heartbroken to miss Daisy Chain Fields, especially because of everything this festival stands for. I’m sending all my love to Olivia and to all of the incredible artists, non-profit organizations and volunteers who have given their time to make this day so special.”

KATSEYE had been scheduled to perform on August 29, 2026 alongside other female artists like Chappell Roan, Doechii, The Breeders, Mitski and Garbage. Olivia Rodrigo is set to headline, with Stevie Nicks, Karen O and Sarah McLachlan also appearing. Festival proceeds will support non-profit organizations focused on helping women and girls in need, including Planned Parenthood and the Center for Reproductive Rights.

The cancellation comes during a difficult period for KATSEYE, which is currently performing with four active members. Member Manon went on hiatus in February 2026 to focus on her health and well-being, while Sophia is on break for similar reasons. Despite the challenges, the group recently reached #1 on the Billboard 200 with WILD. The five-track EP debuted with 170,000 equivalent units in the United States, according to Luminate, marking the best first-week sales for a girl group since 2023.
