Princess Kate Middleton‘s recent revelation that she has finally ended her cancer treatment indicates that King Charles III‘s power in the monarchy is fading, according to a royal expert.
According to Tom Sykes of The Daily Beast, the video of the royal family spending time outdoors in casual attire “wasn’t signed off by the king” but was still published, making it clear that “executive power and influence is already flowing William’s way“, as he is the next to ascend the throne.
Skykes assured, “To get away with such cheek showed William and Kate have an instinctive understanding … of how the power dynamic has shifted since the king’s diagnosis“. Now the monarch strives daily to demonstrate his ability to lead the British monarchy; however, it is his eldest son to whom everyone listens.
King Charles III has set out to prove that he is still a key figure and that he can fulfill his royal responsibilities, which is the possible reason why he has decided to stop his medical treatment, putting his health at risk to make an 11-day trip to Australia.
