“The Chaos Chapter: FREEZE” by TXT and their repackaging “The Chaos Chapter: FIGHT OR ESCAPE” have catapulted the quintet’s career to another level. Major media outlets have listed the studio work as one of the best albums of the year.

TIME, chose “The Chaos Chapter: FIGHT OR ESCAPE” as the best Kpop album of the year and one of the best in general, through an article published earlier this month, TIME said:

Ranging in the genres of emo pop, pop punk, electronic pop and pop rock, TXT romantically expresses reflections on love, the anguish of youth and a rebellious spirit. have limits, question their destiny and celebrate youth.”

On December 10, NME released its year-end list of ‘The 50 best albums of 2021’, which became a trend because TXT was inside. In fact, it was a great achievement for the band because neither BTS nor another k-pop artist was included on the list.

The South Korean band peaked at No.

38 on the ‘NME’ chart with their second studio album titled ‘The Chaos Chapter: FREEZE’.

The magazine summed up the album in a single line, where Rhian Daly wrote: “The leaders of the fourth generation of K-pop face the harsh realities of life.”

For Rhian Daly, the band’s second album is “eclectic and anguished poured his heart into trials and tribulations from adulthood to life. But even through clouds of emo-pop colored cynicism, dazzling moments of hope managed to shine and unfreeze the grip of pessimism,” as he described it in the British magazine.

‘NME’ has not been the only magazine to recognize the album released on May 31, but it was also the only k-pop band and the only Korean artist to appear on the list of ‘the 50 best albums of 2021’ that Rolling Stone made with their repackaged version.
