Several Taylor Swift songs have been removed from TikTok posts published by accounts connected to President Donald Trump’s account. Earlier in August 2026, the Team Trump account shared a video showing Donald and Melania Trump watching fireworks with Taylor Swift’s 2020 song “August” playing as the post’s soundtrack. The caption joked that the singer would be excited about the use of her music. “I’m sure @Taylor Swift is going to be super excited we used her song! #taylorswift #maga #august.”

By August 7, users in the United States noticed that the track was no longer available on the post, as TikTok displayed a message stating that the sound was unavailable. Other Taylor Swift songs have also disappeared from the American president’s related accounts. A Team Trump video posted in November 2025 that used “Father Figure” is no longer available, while a 2025 White House TikTok using “The Fate of Ophelia” has also disappeared. The artist has not publicly commented on the use of her songs and the subsequent removals.
Afterward, the Team Trump account posted another video referencing the singer’s 2012 album “Red.” The post featured edited album artwork showing Trump’s profile and a fake playlist called “Red (Trump’s Version),” although the song was unavailable. Donald Trump has previously voiced his dislike for Taylor Swift, especially after she showed public support for Kamala Harris in the 2024 presidential election. “I HATE TAYLOR SWIFT!” he said on Truth Social.
