Red Velvet’s Irene has confirmed that she is preparing for her first solo comeback of 2026, according to SM Entertainment on February 27, 2026. The company shared that the 34-year-old idol is currently working toward a return slated for late March, although a specific date has not been confirmed. This announcement has already raised expectations among fans who have been waiting for a full album from Irene.

Irene made her solo debut in November 2024 with the mini-album “Like A Flower,” marking ten years since her debut with Red Velvet. The album included eight tracks, featuring a title track with the same name. According to Xportsnews, Irene may return with her first full-length album, although this detail has not yet been officially announced by SM Entertainment.

The timing of the comeback is also meaningful for fans, as the release is expected to take place close to her birthday (March 29). After one year and four months since her last solo project, ReveLuvs (that’s the name Red Velvet fans have) worldwide are looking forward to seeing how her music and style has changed. More details about the project are expected in the coming weeks.
