A royal wedding brought together familiar faces
Princess Kate Middleton attended the wedding of Peter Phillips and Harriet Sperling on June 6, 2026, alongside Prince William and other members of the royal family. The marriage took place at All Saints Church in Kemble, Gloucestershire, and it included several well-known guests. Among the notable attendees was Rupert Finch, an ex-boyfriend of Kate’s from her university days. Rupert arrived at the event with his wife, Lady Natasha Finch, as family and friends reunited to celebrate Peter’s second marriage. This appearance drew attention because of the shared history between Princess Kate Middleton and Rupert, who had dated before the Princess of Wales began dating Prince William.

Kate and Rupert remained on good terms after university
Princess Kate Middleton and Rupert briefly dated while studying at the University of St Andrews in Scotland. At the time, Kate was a first-year student, and Rupert was in his final year. Although they had a short relationship, the pair reportedly remained friendly after their breakup. This cordial relationship was reflected years later when Rupert attended Kate Middleton and Prince William’s wedding on April 29, 2011. In fact, several exes were invited to the wedding, including Kate’s former boyfriend Willem Marx, and Prince William’s ex-girlfriends Arabella Musgrave, Jecca Craig, Olivia Hunt, and Carly Massy-Birch.

Lady Natasha’s outfit also caught royal watchers’ attention
The wedding weekend generated more interest because Lady Natasha wore a light blue dress from her fashion label, Beulah London. Royal fans quickly noticed that Princess Kate Middleton owns the same design and previously wore it during a polo event in 2023. However, the similarity has not sparked an unwanted rivalry, as Natasha has often spoken positively about Kate’s support for British fashion brands and has praised the Princess for helping showcase local designers.
“It’s always lovely to see the Duchess in Beulah,” she told Hello! magazine, referring to her by her pre-princess title. “She’s a wonderful ambassador for British brands, and that is more important than ever at the moment.”
