Park Bom posted a handwritten apology on Instagram on April 17, 2026, addressing both the public and her fellow 2NE1 members. In the letter, the singer expressed affection for the group and reflected on their long, iconic history together. Despite past controversies, she described her respect for Sandara, CL, and Minzy. Then, the 2NE1 member addresses the public and the bond they built over the years.

The apology came after controversy that began in early March 2026, when Park Bom made accusations against fellow member Sandara Park on social media. The post caused immediate backlash, and her agency later said the situation was connected to her unstable emotional health. In Park Bom’s statement, Sandara was accused of buying and administering illegal drugs, using her as a shield. Following the backlash, the 42-year-old deleted the post shortly after, and Sandara later responded by denying the claims. Since then, many fans have been waiting to see if Park Bom would mention this issue directly.

In her new letter, Park Bom appeared to ask for understanding and expressed regret over her previous accusations. She also made it clear that she still cares deeply about 2NE1 and does not want her claims to damage the group’s legacy. Instead of going into every detail again, the message mainly focused on gratitude, love for her members, and a wish to protect them. At the moment, Park Bom is on hiatus from entertainment activities and promotions due to her health.
