MAMAMOO’s Solar has revealed that she was unexpectedly attacked by a stranger while walking in Los Angeles. The vocalist said she was hit in the leg by a wooden chair and suffered bruising, although she has since fully recovered. Solar shared details about the attack during an Instagram Live broadcast on August 31, 2026, several days after the perpetrator harmed her.
According to Solar, she was walking with five people, including MAMAMOO member Moonbyul, her hairstylist, and two male managers, when a stranger suddenly approached them in the street. The man reportedly began cursing them in English before throwing the wooden chair he was carrying. Solar was struck by the chair, while the two managers intervened and restrained the man. The attacker later left the scene.

“This is the first time in my life I’ve ever experienced something like this,” she told fans on Instagram Live.

Solar said she was so shocked by the sudden attack that she could not properly react or even scream. She also explained that she did not feel pain immediately because she was still processing what had occurred to them. The chair reportedly broke when it hit the ground, leaving Solar with a bruise on her leg that has now healed. Meanwhile, MAMAMOO is continuing their 2026 World Tour. The group began their US concerts in Los Angeles on August 25, followed by San Jose on August 27 and Tacoma on August 30.
