Korean comedy “The First Ride” promises laughter this fall, with a star-studded cast featuring Cha Eunwoo

Korean comedy “The First Ride” is coming with a star-studded cast! Names like Cha Eunwoo, Kang Ha Neul, Kim Young Kwang,  Kang Young Seok, and Han Sun Hwa, each playing a hilariously distinct character. The movie is premiering on October 29th, 2025, and it’s directed by Nam Dae Joong, known for his work on “Love Reset.”

Fresh posters and a new trailer have dropped, teasing a chaotic combination of humor and heartfelt moments. With awkward airport moments and wild travel situations, the film leans into the highs and lows of traveling with friends who know each other a little too well! Each character is taking on a distinct personality. For example, Cha Eunwoo will be playing Yeon Min, the handsome one, while Kim Young Kwang will portray Do Jin, the cheerful one. Billed as “100% pure comedy,” the movie embraces classic slapstick while keeping the focus on loyalty and friendship. The movie will premiere in South Korean theaters on October 29th, but it is yet to be announced if it will also have a theatrical release in the West or if it will directly be available for streaming platforms. This film also comes as one of Cha Eunwoo’s projects, released as he is completing his military service. He is expected to be discharged on January 27th, 2027.
