King Charles III suffered from childhood trauma and was not able to heal from it until he met and married Camilla Parker, not even Princess Diana could help him during the years they were together.
Eduard Von Anhalt-Dessau, King Charles III’s cousin, revealed shocking details about the king’s childhood and his trauma to the British press. He highlighted that Camilla was the only person in his life that was successful in helping him, unlike Princess Diana.
Dessau described King Charles III’s symptoms which included desperation and acting abruptly when someone had physical contact with him even if he was accompanied:
This problem goes back to bullying experiences during his school days. Since then, he’s been difficult in terms of physical contact. Even when he was within a group of people and was briefly touched, he panicked.
Eduard believes this painful trauma was cured by the Queen Consort, Camilla Parker. After Charles started dating Camilla, his condition improved remarkably and he was able to fulfill his royal duties such as attending family reunions or political events.
According to Eduard, the late Princess Diana also commented that Charles’s behavior was due to his harsh training from a very young age, which turned him into a person who withholds his emotions and does not feel empathy for anyone. She believed it was because he lived surrounded by butlers and tutors who taught him how to be a king, but not a human being.
