Since last February, when Buckingham Palace revealed that King Charles III has cancer, there have been many difficulties that the British monarchy has had to go through, due to the fact that they have to appeal to the rest of the royal family members so that responsibilities are distributed. However, this seems to have come to an end as recently the monarch returned to his royal duties, spending time with other cancer patients.

On April 30th, the UK monarch resumed his public duties for the first time since the worried news about his health was shared, and the best way to return was to visit the Macmillan Cancer Center at University College Hospital in London alongside Queen Camilla Parker. In this place, King Charles III met with many patients and staff of the medical center to talk about the importance of detecting this disease in its early stages.

The visit marks His Majesty’s first day as Patron of Cancer Research UK (@CR_UK), a position taken on from The late Queen, and the continuation of his role as Patron of @MacmillanCancer.

In the middle of his reunion, Chris Ship media from ITV on the social network X said that many patients who talked with the monarch felt a special connection with him because it was easy for him to understand all of them as he was currently going through the same difficulties. In addition, a reporter from the royal family added that King Charles III told everyone that on the same day he was going to receive his cancer treatment at the same hospital.

This meeting and return to royal responsibilities occurred yesterday, when King Charles III became the new patron of Cancer Research in the United Kingdom, taking this important and meaningful position that previously belonged to his mother, Queen Elizabeth II.
