King Charles III’s rising reign has been notorious over the years. The King has been constantly aware of the different situations in the world despite his health status. This time, he has reunited in a historic meeting with Pope Leo XIV.
On October 23, 2025, King Charles III and Pope Leo XIV gathered at the Sistine Chapel in Vatican City to lead an ecumenical prayer service. This is the first time that a British monarch has publicly prayed alongside a Roman catholic pontiff since the 1534 schism.

The event was part of the King and Queen Camilla’s two-day state visit, including choirs from both Anglican and Catholic traditions. The two leaders centered on the reconciliation and interfaith unity between the Anglican and Catholic churches. What an iconic, significant step in the union and peace after five centuries of division.
