The celebrations mark the 80th anniversary of the end of World War II in Europe by attending a military parade in London. The procession had 1,300 army soldiers from the Royal Navy and Royal Air Force who were saluted by the King from the platform outside Buckingham Palace.
King Charles III was accompanied by Queen Camilla, William and Kate, Prince and Princess of Wales, and their children, Princess Anne, Prime Minister Keir Starmer, and around two dozen veterans. The celebrations were a complete success and the British media outlets are praising the latest event.
The Royal Family later moved inside to take to the balcony of Buckingham Palace to attend the flypast by the Red Arrows and other military aircraft. The complete show was scheduled for around 1:45 p.m. local time, making it a day to remember when almost all the family was reunited for this important celebration.
