King Charles III celebrates UK nations and Cambodia ties

King Charles III’s 78th birthday is not only about celebrating his life and achievements as the monarch of the United Kingdom but also about celebrating the achievements throughout history in alliances with other nations. The occasion is also traditionally marked by the spectacular Trooping the Colour military parade in London. In addition, the British Embassy in Phnom Penh celebrated the 78th birthday of King Charles III on June 3, bringing together nearly 400 guests from government, diplomatic missions, businesses and civil society at the Hyatt Regency.

Dominic Williams hosted the Birthday under the theme “Celebrating the Four Nations of the United Kingdom,” highlighting the culture, cuisine, and tradition of Wales, Northern Ireland, Scotland, and England. Ultimately, the celebration focused on the strong and enduring partnership between the United Kingdom and Cambodia, with cooperation spanning education, trade, development, and people-to-people exchanges

Ambassador Williams thanked partners for helping strengthen UK-Cambodia relations and reaffirmed Britain’s support for efforts toward sustainable peace amid concerns over the Thailand-Cambodia border situation. These birthday celebrations also recognized the contributions of tens of corporate and educational partners who are making a big change for all the Netizens.
