How much did King Charles III and the Royal Family spend on Palace repairs?

The Royal Family is currently rearranging the British Monarchy by downsizing its number of palace aides and turning some of the most prestigious royal houses into tourist attractions. However, how much did the Family spend on the Palace repairs?

King Charles II has revealed that $80.9 million was spent maintaining royal properties and refurbishing Buckingham Palace during 2025-26. The newly reported figures appear in the Royal Household’s latest Sovereign Grant Report.

The report details how public funds supported official royal duties and the upkeep of historic residences. Property maintenance: $78,087,375.00 million Sovereign Grant. Buckingham Palace’s decade-long refurbishment programme and $4 million in capital expenditure, including two new lifts.

King Charles III and Queen Camilla Parker are not expected to move into Buckingham Palace. The Monarch of the United Kingdom will remain in Clarence House as his London residence, to become the palace in a tourism spot, ceremonial centre and principal workplace.
