King Charles III became the talk of the town after visiting Dingwall’s most popular businesses in the region. The King’s visit positively impacted the economy as he also shared a heartfelt thank you to the people of Dingwall as he prepared to retreat from the public spotlight.
The Monarch of the United Kingdom celebrated Dingwall’s 800th anniversary of receiving Royal Burgh status. The King wore a traditional tartan kilt and sporran as he spent time with the community, creating special bonds between the community and the Crown.
The King has visited Dingwall, in the Scottish Highlands, as the town celebrates 800 years since it was granted Royal Burgh status.

Following the engagement, the Royal Family’s official social media accounts posted highlights from the visit accompanied by a special message to the Dingwall people: “Thank you to everyone who came to say hello!”
The King’s last engagement before disappearing from the public eye has become one of the most special for the Crown. Now, the King and the Queen prepare to spend several weeks at Balmoral, their traditional Scottish retreat. It is expected that the King enjoys some of his favourite pastimes, including walking, fishing and painting!
