King Charles III and Queen Camilla will have to attend a second coronation ceremony in the following weeks to comply with royal protocols. Although there is not that much information about the event at the moment, several British tabloids reported that there is already a set date for it.
On May 6, the Coronation of Charles III and Camilla was held at Westminster Abbey and it was witnessed by almost 1000 attendees who were present at the church and also by millions of people all over the world. A ceremony like this had not been celebrated since the late Queen Elizabeth II ascended to the British throne 70 years ago.
Despite this, Charles and Camilla will have to attend a second coronation in Edinburgh, Scotland as part of the tradition. In addition, it has been reported that the Scottish government has already agreed on a date for the ceremony: July 5. During that day, the Honours of Scotland will be presented to the royal couple to officialize their coronation.
According to several sources, it is highly likely Prince William and Kate Middleton will attend the second ceremony as they also have specific royal titles in Scotland. They are the current Duke and Duchess of Rothesay so it is their duty to be present at an event like this.
