The members of KATSEYE silence speculation about their relationship with Manon

In a recent interview, KATSEYE members break their silence and deny rumors of racism towards Manon during her controversial hiatus from activities with the girl group.

On June 30th, Vanity Fair released their most recent interview with the group amid the promotions of their powerful new collaboration song ‘ICONIC BY MISTAKE‘ to talk about their historical Coachella performance and their member on pause.

When the KATSEYE members were asked about Manon, who has been on hiatus since February this year, Lara said, “The safest space that we had was within the six of us,” and continued assuring they just have love between them:

“People just have no idea what goes on. They just don’t. It’s nothing but love between us.”

Meanwhile, their leader Sophia talks about the racism accusations: “We can definitely say that in our situation, in no way was it about race,” and continues, “That goes against everything that we stand for.”

The girls also shared that they still keep in touch with Manon “every now and then” and confirmed that she is not participating in the upcoming EP while her involvement in their world tour is yet to be confirmed.

KATSEYE is set to release their new EP, titled ‘WILD,’ on August 14th. Pre-order the song here.
