Hanni of NewJeans has been working with Gucci since 2022, which makes her one of the Kpop idols who have had the chance to promote the Italian brand. This does not come as a surprise, since Hanni’s peers in the industry have also had deals with other companies, including Jungkook of BTS with Calvin Klein or Hyunjin of Stray Kids with Versace.
As it is also common with other Kpop idols, the NewJeans member had a makeover to look all fresh and flashy before going to the Gucci show during Milan’s Fashion Week. Much to the delight of her fans, also known as Bunnies, she shared her new hair via Instagram stories.
Hanni revealed a completely baby blonde-colored hair, straight and long, with two panels to give it a more futuristic touch. As you can see in the pictures, the NewJeans member drastically changed her appearance, her black-hair-colored days with bangs is are gone.
After this, social media started buzzing with comments on Hanni’s new look. Opinions seem to be despairing, with some absolutely loving the shift to the idol’s new image, while others grappling with the fact that Hanni has transitioned from a sweet brunette to a blonde bomb.
Some people pointed out that her stylist might have missed the mark with this new hairstyle and that the shade of blonde that she chose (or was chosen for her) did not really complement her. In contrast, others mentioned that this is a good transition for Hanni and that blonde fits her perfectly well, as she also wore a wig with that color in the “Super Shy” music video and looked completely stunning.
