According to certain media and analysts, King Charles III is thought to have paid respect to Princess Diana during his final coronation at Westminster Abbey. Princess Diana was the ex-wife of the monarch and the mother of his sons Prince Harry and Prince William.
When the British king and his wife Queen Camilla Parker were anointed as the country’s highest monarchs a little over a month ago, Princess Kate Middleton honored her mother-in-law Princess Diana by donning her jewelry, as did Prince William and Prince Harry. The princess’s butler during her lifetime, Paul Burrell, was primarily the one to make comments on this, claiming that the king honored Princess Diana on the day of her coronation:
“There were some nods to the princess of which King Charles III was aware, he in a personal way chose a hymn that was sung at his wedding to Princess Diana in St. Paul’s Cathedral, I got up and sang it because it’s one of my favorites and I know it’s one of Princess Diana’s favorites, so this was a nod to her.”
The former butler for Princess Diana continued by saying that the princess’s spirit was there at the ceremony for all the accolades due her:
“I stated even before the coronation, that I defied anyone in the country not to think of Diana at that moment, her children were thinking of her and the king was also thinking of his ex-wife, who gave birth to his heir and spare.”
One of the songs of the coronation was given in honor of Princess Diana, according to Paul Burrell, who has gained attention recently for making statements about what Princess Diana’s life was like at various points.
