A plea for NewJeans turns into virality
The internet could not believe its own timeline when thousands of NewJeans fans suddenly showed up in MrBeast’s Instagram and TikTok comment sections begging him to rescue the girl group. For more than a week, starting in late December, Bunnies (NewJeans fans) spammed his posts with messages asking him to save former member Danielle Marsh and, in some cases, to buy HYBE itself.
What do I need to do?

The spark came from a massive blowup inside HYBE’s ADOR on December 29, 2025, when Danielle’s contract was terminated, she was removed from the group, and a lawsuit worth up to $33 million was filed against her, a family member, and former CEO Min Hee Jin. Fans jumped into action across every platform, and the hashtag #MrBeastSaveNewJeans exploded into a trending topic.
Why MrBeast became the unexpected person to ask
While many fans believed he could purchase the group or pay for Danielle’s lawsuit, others did not actually believe MrBeast could walk into South Korea and make this decision. What some Bunnies really wanted was attention and to shed a light on the issue, picking one of the most viral people on the Internet. MrBeast has nearly half a billion subscribers across his platforms and an estimated net worth of $700 million, which could put global eyes on Danielle’s situation and pressure HYBE for a positive response.
Their nonstop commenting finally worked on January 6, 2026, when MrBeast replied on X, formerly Twitter, asking a fan what he had to do to help. He later told streamer, jasontheween, that he did not understand what fans expected and even wondered if the group was for sale, which showed how confusing the petition had become. Then, a new development came on January 8, 2026, when fans continued to ask MrBeast, and he remained open to the idea:
🚨 MrBeast MIGHT Help Danielle with her $30 Million Lawsuit from ADOR.
"$30 Million is a lot of money but if it makes sense and that will help bring them together…" pic.twitter.com/DIw1BR0wDH

“It’s a lot of money, but if it makes sense, I guess. If that’s what the Internet needs and that will help them bring them back together. If that’s what they want.”
A legal storm bigger than YouTube
The NewJeans members have been locked in contract conflict with ADOR and HYBE since 2024, accusing the company of mistreatment. However, A Seoul court ruled in October 2024 that all five member contracts remained valid, which meant that the group was legally tied to the company following the girl group’s attempt to exit the agency.
Despite the ruling and the validation of the contract, HYBE’s ADOR still removed Danielle at the end of December 2025, citing broken trust and launching a lawsuit for over 30 million dollars. Meanwhile, Haerin and Hyein returned to the agency, Hanni also agreed to come back, and Minji remains in negotiations as Danielle faces the lawsuit.
Even so, it looks like the streamer and YouTuber might not be able to solve this corporate legal war. MrBeast is unlikely to step in and buy HYBE’s ADOR or buy NewJeans out of their exclusive contracts. However, the virality made the Internet look up and wonder what is actually happening with the girl group and read the whole case with a wider lens.
