King Charles III and Joe Biden recently had their first official meeting to strengthen the ties between the two countries. However, the president of the United States is currently being criticized for his reckless and disrespectful attitude towards the sovereign of the United Kingdom and was even accused of breaking royal protocols.
A few months ago, King Charles III invited Joe Biden to the coronation ceremony which took place on May 6 at Westminster Abbey but he could not attend as he was really busy. Instead, his wife Jill Biden traveled to London and represented the United States in the important event.
On July 10, Joe Biden finally met King Charles III during his visit to Windsor Castle but their first interactions weren’t as well received by the royal followers who noticed Biden broke some protocols. After the president of the United States got out of the car, he immediately greeted Charles with a handshake while putting his other hand on his back.
According to royal protocols, the members of the British Royal Family cannot be touched by anyone unless they are the ones who do it first. On top of that, Joe Biden also broke another protocol by walking in front of King Charles III as the King should always be at the front.
After the photos and videos of their meeting went viral on social media, several royal experts were quick to call out Biden’s behavior as reckless and a complete lack of respect for King Charles III. Despite this, Charles seemed to not be bothered at all and was even seen laughing and having a good time.
