Cha Eunwoo’s reputation has been going downhill since the tax controversy. The idol, who’s currently serving in the South Korean military, is back in the spotlight for all the wrong reasons following the announcement of a photo exhibition.
Local Japanese outlets confirmed that Cha Eunwoo will hold a photo exhibition titled “Afterimage” at NOVO in Tokyo from March 28 to May 12. In addition, Fantagio, Cha Eunwoo’s music agency, confirmed the event and explained they had already been contracted in August 2024.

“This exhibition is a business carried out by the agency, which holds exclusive rights to the artist’s image IP. It is not a profit-generating activity directly conducted by Cha Eun Woo as an active duty soldier.”
Negative feedback and backlash made a strong presence online as some K-Netizens expressed their criticism. They believe he is trying to make a profit from the new photo exhibition to cover the tax issue he is locked in nowadays. Ultimately, K-Netizens are not happy with the current decisions made by Fantagio and Cha Eunwoo.
