Cha Eunwoo and Park Eunbin are officially teaming up for The Wonderfools, and Netflix has dropped the very first look. The upcoming South Korean series blends comedy, action, fantasy, and superhero storytelling, transporting viewers straight back to 1999. Set in the fictional city of Haeseong, the story follows everyday residents with superpowers, whose lives flip upside down when mysterious disappearances begin, and random citizens suddenly develop flawed powers.

The new promotional images highlight Park Eunbin as Eun Chae, a warm but slightly chaotic young woman whose routine life changes when she gains surreal abilities she never asked for. Cha Eunwoo takes on the role of Lee Woon-jeong, who arrives in Haeseong when the place has just started spiraling into trouble. The visuals avoid a huge superhero city spectacle and instead focus on grocery aisles, restaurants, and government buildings, where people suddenly have to act like heroes.
The Wonderfools is confirmed for a 2026 Netflix release with the exact premiere date still under wraps. The series brings major creative forces together, including director Yoo In-sik, who worked on Extraordinary Attorney Woo and Dr Romantic. The script is written by Huh Da-joong of Extreme Job. Then, Kang Eun-kyung is involved as a creator and is known for working on Gyeongseong Creature and Dr.Romantic
