In a recent update, BTS made history in their genre by being named ‘Icons‘ by Guinness World Records, a prestigious recognition that celebrates artists with legendary records.
On May 17th, the boy group was added to the prestigious list of ‘Icons,’ becoming the only musical group and first Asian act included, receiving praise for their outstanding contribution to the music industry and impressive milestones.

The Guinness World Records introduce BTS saying, “If you don’t know BTS (방탄소년단), you have probably been living under a rock.” They pointed out the boy’s most notable records and explained the reasons behind them becoming icons:
“They are an ICON because BTS not only introduced K-pop to the world but also made history with their genre-spanning music covering themes such as mental health, loneliness, and coming of age.”
Other entertainment personalities who have entered this prestigious list include Dolly Parton, Taylor Swift, Beyoncé, Drake, Elton John, and Paul McCartney, among others who have been celebrated for their careers, chart dominance, and undeniable talent.
