During a recent live stream, BLACKPINK‘s Jisoo reveals how her viral Met Gala interview happened by accident, shocking fans and earning her much praise for her English.
On May 21st, the K-Pop idol went live through her personal app, Jisoo.app, and shared details of the behind the scenes of her appearance at the Met Gala 2026, her first time attending this fashion event.
While interacting with fans, Jisoo read some comments and said she recalled a fun incident that turned into one of the best moments of that night: “I suddenly remembered something now that you asked me to talk in English…”
“At the Met Gala, you had to go in alone, so I went in and was heading towards the stairs, but someone told me to come over here, and I ended up standing in a line that turned out to be the interview line. I was like, ‘What? Me?’ so I ended up doing an interview, and I was so nervous and shocked. I was like, ‘Why me?’ and they were like, ‘Since it’s your first time here'”

The BLACKPINK member confessed she was so shocked and nervous but that it was fun, while on social networks fans were surprised by this story and expressed their admiration of her good management of nerves and her English skills.
