On May 13th, the princess of Wales was welcomed in the Piazza Camillo Prampolini outside the Reggio Emilia Town Hall by a massive crowd of locals, including a group of children, whom the royal approached to talk to, showing off her impressive Italian.
During her interaction with the young Italians, Kate Middleton stopped next to a group of children. One of them noticed the camera pointed at them and seized the moment to pose for an iconic photo with the future queen.
The mischievous young boy stared directly at the camera, standing towards the princess with his finger dramatically pressed against her cheek and one foot propped up against her shin, while his friends were engrossed in conversation with the princess.
