Kate Middleton shares what helped her to overcome the Three Peaks Challenge

Kate Middleton shares the reason that motivated her amid her mountain climbing challenge

During a recent public appearance, Kate Middleton shares what helped her to overcome the “harder times” of the Three Peaks Challenge she got through to raise funds for the fight against cancer.

On July 8th, the Princess of Wales’s appearance at Overheard at Wimbledon was shared through social networks, sharing the interesting conversation she had with former tennis pros Tim Henman and Debbie Jevans.

This conversation included some questions on her preparation for her impressive milestone of secretly completing the National Three Peaks Challenge in 24 hours to support The Royal Marsden Cancer Charity at the end of June, to which she said the following:

“I think part of the journey was trying to enjoy the process. Like, the training beforehand, but also making time during the walk to meet people and enjoy the journey, rather than just quickly getting to the top.”

Kate Middleton reflected about this experience and how the people’s generosity helped to overcome the challenging obstacles: “That’s what keeps you going; it’s when you know you’re doing it for a good cause — it keeps you going through the harder times.”

In March 2024, the Princess of Wales revealed she was undergoing treatment for cancer and paused her public commitments to focus on her recovery. Later in January 2025, she revealed that she was in remission.
