During a recent Instagram live, Aespa‘s Giselle opened up about her controversial weight loss and health status, surprising all fans with her sincerity and her genuine personality.
On May 6th, the K-Pop idol went live to interact with fans, sharing details of her current status and opinions about different topics. She also gave responses to fans’ recent controversial comments about her body and look.
When she was asked, “How did you lose so much weight?” she responded, pointing out how much they care about her appearance. “Honestly, you guys talk about my looks a lot. Honestly, that’s really all you talk about when it comes to me…” and explained.
“It’s a natural thing. People lose weight, people gain weight. I’ve gained weight before; I’ve lost weight before. I’m going to be honest with you, I’ve lost around 10 kg in the past 7 years, and things like that just happen as you age… But I am trying to gain weight because it’s true, sometimes I just don’t have a lot of energy.”

Later, a fan asked, “Are you healthy?” to which she answered, wondering if she really looks healthy now and continued revealing how hard it is to keep health when you are an idol, but she claims that she tries her best to keep her well-being:
“I try really hard to be healthy, I do, but it’s hard for a K-pop star to be healthy if I’m being honest with you. It’s very hard. But I do try, and I do recommend always trying your best to be healthy because health really is wealth. Nothing is worth anything when you’re losing your health.”
