ADOR is calling out Team Bunnies, NewJeans’ fan union. On April 25, they dropped a warning: some fan accounts are allegedly trying to collect personal info from fans under the excuse of doing “promotional activities.” In a public statement, the company showed their concern:

The chaos started when Team Bunnies first spilled the tea about the Indomie Migoreng pop-up store event and conducted a survey to test the level of purchases. And while the event had ADOR’s prior approval, the agency declared they didn’t play any part in data collection through fan accounts. They urged fans to stay alert and avoid giving their information in ways that could cause harm.

In response, Team Bunnies revealed that the brand and the importer contacted them to adjust the stock for NewJeans’ products and that they didn’t collect personal info besides demand for the event. However, with NewJeans already on hiatus due to their legal mess with ADOR, the last thing anyone needs is more drama. As of now, there’s no public comment from the quintet on the controversy.
