One of the most talked about cases when talking about true crime is that of Gypsy Rose Blanchard, as many people who like mystery podcasts or watch series and movies heard about what happened and it generated debates as they claimed Gypsy should be released from prison and have asked to see her case over and over again.

Gypsy Rose Blanchard to be released from prison after 10-year sentence

After many years in prison, a girl with a rather touching story would be getting out, and that is Gypsy has been fighting for many years to let the world know her story, a story worthy of movie, and yes, we have seen her in movies (not her directly, but about what happened to her).

Gypsy Rose Blanchard to be released from prison after 10-year sentence

Gypsy Rose Blanchard, 32, will be released from the Chillicothe Correctional Center on Dec. 28. Blanchard pleaded guilty in the June 2015 stabbing death of her mother, 48-year-old Clauddinnea “Dee Dee” Blanchard, at their home near Springfield.

Recall that Nicholas Godejohn, Gypsy Blanchard’s ex-boyfriend, was convicted guilty of first-degree murder and given a life sentence. Godejohn fatally killed the woman, as his lawyer acknowledged, but claimed Godejohn was duped by Gypsy Blanchard. There are already many productions that talk about the case and it was named everywhere due to the immense pain that Gypsy underwent because of her mother, as assured in the media.

Throughout Gypsy’s childhood, Dee Dee mistreated her both mentally and physically, leading everyone to believe that Gypsy was a terminally ill adolescent with the mental capacity of a 7-year-old. For a considerable amount of time, Gypsy believed this to be true. Despite her ability to walk, she was forced to use a wheelchair, prescribed unnecessary drugs, and had her head shaved in an attempt to persuade their friends, family, and community that she had muscular dystrophy, leukemia, and other illnesses.

What do you think about this? Do you think justice will finally be served?
