After confirming the new installment of ‘Ugly Betty‘, the world-famous Colombian novel that has captivated all its viewers, it has been announced that filming will begin next year 2024, as well as the actors who will return to play their characters.
This successful television novel that began broadcasting in 1999 became a global success that achieved hundreds of versions for different countries around the world, so now many viewers are very excited about its new installment.
It was the streaming platform Amazon Prime Video that decided to make a new installment of ‘Ugly Betty’, with a new vision of what the novel told at that time, bringing back the original actors Ana María Orozco and Jorge Enrique Abello to tell the sequel of their history.
This exciting announcement was shared with the public in June of this year, and filming began on a short video introducing the entire cast that will be present in this continuation.
In addition to the main actors who give life to the protagonists; Beatriz Pinzón (Betty) and Armando Mendoza, Lorna Cepeda as Patricia and Natalia Ramirez as Marcela will also return.
As well as Alberto León Jaramillo as Gutiérrez, Ricardo Vélez as Mario, Marcela Posada as Sandra, Luces Velázquez as Bertha, Julio Cesar Herrera as Freddy, Jorge Herrera as Hermes Pinzón, Mario Duarte as Nicolás, Julián Arango as Hugo Lombardi and Estefanía Gómez as Aura Maria.
For their part, new talents were also added to this next installment of the legendary novel ‘Ugly Betty’, such as Zharick León, Jerónimo Cantillo, Rodrigo Candamil, Juanita Molina, Sebastián Osorio, and Val Lagarejo, however it is still not clear what role they will play.
On the other hand, this new production will tell the current life that the main characters Betty and Armando amid the difficulties they face in their marriage, their relationship with their teenage daughter named Mila and in the family business Ecomoda.
