I agree, and ultimately it led to Princess Diana’s death as she was constantly harassed by the paparazzi leading to the high speed chase and her death. It is also well documented that Diana, like Prince Philip, would never have the title of Queen had they continued their marriage. The King has spent the last several years solely dedicated to Camilla and Will and Kate, even having the British rag publications change the narrative to make Meghan look bad and Camilla and Kate look good. HE needs to get his personal family life in order and stop with all of these threats and evictions. He must treat Harry and Meghan with the same love he shows will and Kate. Harry is his SON!

Making Camilla a “legitimate Queen” is disrespectful to Princess Diana’s memory IMHO, especially since she is the Mother of his sons. I’ll never forget the interview when Princess Diana said, “There were three people in her marriage to Charles (meaning Camilla), and it was a bit crowded. You don’t understand the difference between ruling queen (Elizabeth I & II and Victoria for instance) who are the actual monarchs of the kingdom and queen consort/mother (Charlotte, Alexandra, May of Teck). The queen consort is still called queen however they don’t have the power to ascend the throne upon the death of the king. The children of the ruling monarch male or female become the next king or queen. Re read the top at the part where it says the king would relinquish the throne and the queen consort would become the ruler.

She is not the rightful heir to the throne. She should live on as the queen Mother did but not as heir. What if Anne was the elderst and Charles was next in line. Would he find it fair and right if she had married Anthony Armstrong Jones, and elevated him to such an important status in front of the next rightful heir in the royal family. Government would not allow it and it would abolish the throne all together. The concept of royal family would mean nothing to the nation. He needs to be grateful that he is allowed to have an accepted recognized marriage with the woman he loves while he carries out his rightful duties of the throne for his nation but not expect for the nation to then elevate her status to a royal figurehead in front of legitimate heirs to the throne. I like Charles and would like to see him contrbute to some modernization of the throne and bring it down to a more relatable level for his nation. Just my opinion.

Camilla will only ever be Queen Consort, the same as Diana would have. It is the title given to the wife of the King. The wife of a King can never be monarch in her own right the way Queen Elizabeth II was as you have to be of royal blood, be born into the family. All that’s happening here is that the word Consort is to be dropped from Camilla’s title. In her time, Catherine will be Queen Consort, but referred to as Queen. It has been this way for centuries.
There is a very important issue here. Were Camilla to be crowned Queen, she would automatically reign on Charles’s death. This would be quite wrong on several grounds so, Consort is the best she should achieve. Many might not grant her even that for undermining a marriage.

It is in EXTREMELY poor taste that he insists upon this. She was his mistress against the church which makes him a king. His lawful wife, Diana, had she remained alive and married to him would be Queen CONSORT. And he wants to bypass this step with a woman who is undeserving. Yes, a drunk driver and no seatbelts killed Diana. Not the paparazzi or then-Prince Charles. Princess Diana also had numerous affairs. BUT she adored him…or wanted to adore him. Charles took off perhaps a year from his affair with Camilla once he was married. In that sense, Charles drove her away with horse face and I strongly believe she’d be alive today enjoying grandchildren and graciously accepting Queen Consort. No respect for Camilla as she doesn’t tell him to not pursue this title for her.
This one I have to say my peace, she reminds me of the young queen, however this is not an insistant monarchy or patriarchy, it’s comes down to the natural order of things which the previous queen would respect. This is supposed to be a respected order of things decided. As a fellow the third I think it’s important the King respect the natural order of things. Weather he like it or not under no circumstances shall he pass on his Kingship until death. That’s how the thing works, that’s how it will always work. Don’t go off the path or it will be a shame to the whole royal lineage. Simple as that. No passoffs. This bothered me not to say.
