A fan of K-pop group BTS, or better known as their alias “ARMY”, died whilst on a trip to South Korea. The only purpose of the trip to the Asian country was to attend BTS’s last concert.

On Saturday morning it was reported by the local authorities that the fan, originally from Chile, had died on the capital city, Seoul. The identity has not been made public in the interest of the deceased’s dignity.

No further details have been revealed either, probably at the request of the family of the deceased, but they did reveal that the main purpose of the trip to South Korea was for the concert that BTS is giving this week.

As told by the fan site of the South Korean group, the girl died in Seoul waiting to travel to the second city in the country, Busan, where the concert was going to take place this coming 15th of October. The fan site deleted their post hours later, to further protect the identity of the girl.

The seven-member group is set to give a free entry concert titled as “Yet To Come” to promote the World Expo 2030, which will be located on Busan for this year. That is the concert that the Chilean was expecting to attend.

After landing and expending a few days on Seoul, her health started deteriorating, worsening until she had to rush to the hospital, where she died after her body was too weak to work anymore. The hospital has not shared a detailed explanation of the cause of death, nor any type of statement, this information was revealed by the fan site only, but not confirmed.

The fans are mourning the loss on social media, while also awaiting further details about the case. The South American fans have been more vocal, lamenting the sad final destiny of the girl who traveled from another continent to watch the BTS members perform.
