Jimin has reached a major streaming milestone with “Like Crazy.” The BTS member’s solo song has achieved 1 billion filtered streams on Spotify, according to Big Hit Music, becoming the first fully Korean-language song by a solo artist to reach the milestone on the platform.
“Like Crazy” was released on March 24, 2023, as the lead single from Jimin’s debut solo album Face, and became an essential song for the artist. The synth-pop track entered at #1 on the Billboard Hot 100, making it the first Korean-language song by a KPop solo artist to top the American chart. It remained on the Hot 100 for five weeks, while Face spent seven weeks on the Billboard 200 and peaked at #2. The single also spent 60 weeks on both the Global 200 and Global Excl. U.S., reaching #2 on each chart, proving its stature as a worldwide hit.
“Like Crazy” also reached #8 in the U.K. Official Singles Top 100, the highest peak achieved by a Korean artist at the time. It also topped the iTunes Top Songs chart in all 119 regions. The Spotify milestone adds another significant achievement to one of Jimin’s most important solo releases. Meanwhile, BTS continues promoting their ARIRANG era through the ARIRANG World Tour, which will resume on October 2 in Bogotá, Colombia.
