The group also introduced a musical approach named “whip-hop.” The young ladies explained that this style combines their different personalities with the strong energy of hip-hop, similar to how different ingredients are combined in whipped cream. Member Kuk Cho-rok said the group wants to become known for energetic and distinctive performances. However, the members also expressed that they do not plan to limit their future music to one genre.

“Whip-hop is a genre that only OurBirthday can create, but we also have many different sides to us, so we plan to present diverse genres as well,” vocalist Shin Hye-won shared.

Several group members had already appeared in television competitions before debuting in OurBirthday. Leader Cho Hye-jin appeared on “Street Dance Girls Fighter 2” and later won “The Ddanddara.” Japanese member U also competed on “The Ddanddara,” while Shin previously appeared on “R U Next?”
