The Toronto International Film Festival confirmed on August 11, 2026, that BLACKPINK member Lisa’s documentary “Always Lalisa” will premiere during its 2026 edition. The festival’s audience will get to see the film for the first time on September 11, 2026, at 9:30 p.m. at Roy Thomson Hall as part of the Gala Presentations program. Another showing will take place there on September 12, followed by additional screenings on September 15 at John Bassett Theatre, and on September 18 and 20 at Scotiabank Theatre Toronto.

The Toronto Film Festival described the documentary, saying:

“Always Lalisa follows that journey with an intimate and effortless insider’s fluency, moving through Lisa’s milestones — her childhood dance competitions, breakout K-pop debut, and the creation of her own label — while acknowledging that the superstar is navigating uncharted terrain as she aims to break into the Western market.”

“Always Lalisa runs” runs for 97 minutes and includes English, Thai, and Korean subtitles. The movie follows the “Rockstar” singer from her early dance competitions and childhood in Thailand to her debut as a BLACKPINK member and her solo career. It also covers the release of Lisa’s debut studio album “Alter Ego,” her 2025 Coachella performance, her acting role in HBO’s The White Lotus as Mook, and the creation of her self-founded company, LLOUD.

Sue Kim directed the documentary, which was produced by Sony Music Vision with RCA Records, Tremolo Productions, Salt Water Productions, and LLOUD CO. Kim previously directed The Last of the Sea Women and The Speed Cubers. “Always Lalisa” is expected to offer fans a closer look at Lisa’s personal and professional life, as she continues building her presence as one of global pop’s most compelling stars.
