Although Jung Hye-kyung did not explain exactly how the “Seven” singer supported her through those tough times, many are guessing it could be thanks to his songs. The stylist’s confessions quickly spread across social media, with fans praising Jungkook as an artist and a musical talent. The remarks also brought renewed attention to Ko So-young, who rose to stardom after starring in the hit 1995 drama Sandglass and after placing as runner-up in the Miss Korea pageant. Meanwhile, Jung Hye-kyung has worked as her stylist and trusted friend for nearly 30 years.

The comments about Jungkook came only days after he appeared at a major global stage. On July 19, 2026, BTS performed during the first halftime show in FIFA World Cup final history at MetLife Stadium in New Jersey. The seven-member team performed Dynamite, sharing the stage with Madonna, Justin Bieber, and Shakira. With that appearance, Jungkook became the first KPop act to perform at a FIFA event twice, following his solo performance of Dreamers during the opening ceremony of the 2022 FIFA World Cup in Qatar.
