A few hours ago, TWICE‘s Jihyo and Tzuyu were reportedly parting ways with JYP for solo activities, according to Korean media about the idols’ contracts in discussions.

On July 14th, the Korean media outlet JoyNews24 reported that the group’s leader decided to leave her agency for 21 years to pursue an independent career. The report stated that although she continues to meet with several agencies, she is likely to create her own label to release solo projects.

At the same time, News1 informed us that Tzuyu has agreed not to renew her contract with JYP Entertainment after 11 years. However, both members reported that they would continue with their activities as active members of TWICE.

“TWICE is currently in the period of contract renewal discussions, and the company and the members are continuing careful deliberations while respecting each other’s wishes. We intend to provide an update as soon as the matter is finalized,” said the agency in response to the reports.
