In recent days, TWICE‘s Jihyo went viral on social networks after wearing an anti-fascist accessory, gaining praise for supporting this political position.
On May 21st, the K-Pop idol shared a new Instagram update that came with many photos of a trip to San Cipriano in Bolzano, Italy with her members Jeongyeon and Mina, including photos of the girls surrounded by alpine landscapes and rocky peaks in the area.
In this post, Jihyo included some photos of her sporting a hat with a message partially hidden with orange emojis, but when fans discovered the original product, they knew that the full message was “United Against Fascism.”

The idol’s reference to the authoritarian and extreme form of government where power is concentrated in a single absolutist leader quickly generates debate on social networks among fans and netizens and shock for her intentions to share her political position.
Moments later, the leader of TWICE deleted the photo as a sign to avoid controversy, which generated criticism on networks but also earned her much praise in the comments section of her post among fans who support her even after the deletion.
