Princess Charlotte turns 11 on Saturday, May 2, and her parents have shared more than one birthday tribute. After posting a new portrait, Princess Kate Middleton and Prince William also uploaded a video of their daughter on Instagram. The clip was shared as a thank-you message to people who sent birthday wishes for Charlotte.

“Thank you for the lovely birthday messages for Princess Charlotte,” the couple wrote.
The clip showed Charlotte spending time outdoors and enjoying fun moments with the family’s two cocker spaniels, Orla and Otto. In one moment, she pets the dogs as they look up at her. In another moment, she cuddles one of them while sitting on a boat. The video had a calm vibe, adorned with relaxing music. It gave royal fans a softer look at the royal family’s life away from their typical duties.
Other clips showed Princess Charlotte writing a message with seashells on the beach, running barefoot, and playing cricket in the sand. The footage matched the natural style of the birthday portrait shared earlier by Prince William and Princess Kate, which showed their daughter standing in a field surrounded by flowers. For context, Charlotte is the middle child of the Prince and Princess of Wales. She has an older brother, Prince George, who is 12, and a younger brother, Prince Louis, who is 8.
