Former NCT member Lucas is once again the talk of the town after fans received shocking news of the idol parting ways with his music agency, SM Entertainment. However, Lucas’ antecedents make no surprise the decision by the agency to protect their reputation.
Lucas debuted in 2018 as a member of NCT and its unit WayV. However, the idol suspended all activities under NCT after he was embroiled in a scandal involving allegations of gaslighting, cheating, and manipulative behavior toward multiple women who claimed to be his ex-girlfriends. Ultimately, the idol left the group in May 2023.
On April 24, 2026, almost three years after departing NCT and becoming a solo artist, SM Entertainment wanted to update Lucas’ position inside the music company, indicating that they had formally concluded their contract without any further details on his departure.
