BTS’ V, also known as Kim Taehyung, started conversations on April 3, 2026, after sharing behind-the-scenes photos from the music video for “2.0.” The pictures show a strong visual style, taking inspiration from Park Chan Wook’s film Oldboy while also using a clear 1970s aesthetic. In the music video, the BTS members all wear retro-inspired outfits and styling choices. Yet, V stole the show thanks to his beard and moustache, marking a stark contrast to his usual facial appearance.
Later, V reposted one of the black and white photos on his Instagram Stories. In the image, he appeared with the same facial hair look and added a crying gif along with a caption, suggesting that he did not think the beard and the moustache suited him. Despite his view on the styling, fans widely disagreed with a large number of comments complementing his look.
“I’ve tried it. And I know. It doesn’t suit me,” the BTS member said on Instagram Stories.

BTS released the music video for “2.0” on April 2, 2026, through the HYBE Labels YouTube channel. The video features visual references to the famous single-take hallway fight scene from Oldboy, but shows this inspiration in a more performance-focused and comedic way. The clip shows RM, Jin, SUGA, j-hope, Jimin, V, and Jungkook in suits and leather jackets, and carrying unusual props such as a back scratcher, a fan, a danso flute, and a newspaper. This video came shortly after the success of the ARIRANG album, which debuted atop the Billboard 200. Similarly, the project’s main single, SWIM, charted at #1 on the Hot 100, showing BTS’ strong presence in both the singles and the albums charts.
