The K-Pop girl group recently took their ‘THIS IS FOUR‘ World Tour to Taipei, and during Day 1, one of the members appeared with an unexpected new look that took many fans by surprise but also sparked backlash towards her for not showing her face to fans.

However, Mina later revealed through Bubble that the truth behind this decision was that she had recently undergone wisdom tooth extraction, removing one tooth on each side, which left her visibly swollen.
“To the ONCEs who came to see the Taipei concert. I am truly sorry to have to perform in this condition. I tried to hold out because no schedules came up that I could take out until July, but I was already in pain, so I have decided to receive treatment now. Nevertheless, it was my choice, and although I am not sure if my presence will make a difference, I went on stage hoping to be of even a little bit of strength for the performance. I am truly sorry for upsetting my fans.
I sincerely thank all the ONCEs who always support me.”
Although the TWICE member decided to continue with her performance that day, she opted to wear the covering to avoid unflattering photos and manage the swelling while also fulfilling her schedule and keeping her from having this encounter with fans.
