BTS sells 3.98 million album copies on the first day of sales

BTS’ highly anticipated return to the Kpop scene has been notable in the latest update to their album sales over the last 24 hours. The idols presented their 5th album, “ARIRANG,” which has already broken major records across platforms.

Immediately upon its release on March 20 KST, all 14 songs on the album landed in the top 50 on Melon’s “TOP 100 Chart.” In addition, the Hanteo Charts reported that BTS sold approximately 3,980,000 copies on its first day of sales, surpassing 1 million copies within the first 10 minutes of release based on media outlet reports.

“ARIRANG” became BTS’s best-selling album in terms of first week sales, as “Map of the Soul: 7” recorded d approximately 3,370,000 copies in the first week of sales. The idols are eying SEVENTEEN’s “Seventeenth Heaven” record, which has sold 5,091,800 copies in the first week.
