The general Top 20 IFPI Global Album Chart 2025 included both Western and Asian artists, highlighting how competitive the market was throughout the year. Taylor Swift led the overall ranking with “The Life of a Showgirl” at number one, followed by Morgan Wallen at number two and the KPop Demon Hunters soundtrack at number three. Despite strong competition from global pop and country acts, multiple KPop albums managed to secure places within the Top 20, confirming their steady international demand.

Let’s take a look at the four most successful KPop albums according to the chart:

  1. Stray Kids – Karma: The boy group obtained the most successful KPop project on the chart. The group achieved this position thanks to its strong physical sales, which made it the second most-sold album with 3,49 million copies. Karma has become a signature era for the group, thanks to hits like “Ceremony” and “Creed.”
  2. SEVENTEEN – Happy Burstday: The group’s fifth studio album became the third most-sold KPop record with 2.63 million copies. The hit “Thunder” became the iconic representative of this era.
  3. ENHYPEN – DESIRE : UNLEASH: The boy group sold a total of 2.13 million copies of their EP, which was preceded by three successful singles “Loose,” “Bad Desire (With or Without You)”, and “Outside.”
  4. BLACKPINK’s Rosé – Rosie: Marking a difference from her KPop peers, Rosé achieves the fourth position thanks to the album’s strong streaming numbers. The massive success of “APT,” a Bruno Mars co-signed song, propelled Rosé into domestic acclaim and international stardom.
