The animated girl group HUNTR/X from KPop Demon Hunters has debuted its new single “How It’s Done.” This track follows the success of “Golden,” which previously held the No. 1 position on the Billboard Hot 100 and Global Spotify. Both tracks are featured in Netflix’s animated film KPop Demon Hunters, which has become a cultural phenomenon both as a movie and a powerhouse soundtrack.

“How It’s Done” recorded a 31 percent increase in radio plays during the tracking period from January 9, 2026, to January 15, 2026. Early radio support came from stations such as KIIS Los Angeles, WBBM FM Chicago, and WBLI in New York. Radio executive Mark Adams said he became a fan of the film shortly after its release on June 20, 2025, praising both the animation and the music for being immediately appealing. The track is performed by EJAE, Audrey Nuna, and REI AMI, known for being the singing voices of Rumi, Mira, and Zoey in the film.
“Golden” achieved major success across several Billboard charts. It reached No. 1 on the Radio Songs chart in January 2026 and stayed at the top of the Billboard Hot 100 for eight weeks between August and October 2025. In addition, both the film and the song have been awarded Golden Globe and Critics’ Choice awards, with high chances of claiming Oscar wins on March 15th, 2026. Meanwhile, “How It’s Done” has achieved more subtle success, peaking at No. 8 on the Billboard Hot 100 and marking one of four top 10s from the movie’s soundtrack, the most from any soundtrack in nearly 30 years.
