Princess Charlotte lit up Sandringham on December 25, 2025, during the traditional Christmas Day service and walkabout for royal followers. The ten-year-old princess joined Prince George and Prince Louis at St.Mary Magdalene church before greeting fans outside. King Charles and Queen Camilla led the Wales family as crowds gathered to send merry Christmas wishes.
A lighter look inspired by mom, Kate Middleton
As Princess Charlotte greeted royal followers, fans, and photographers noticed that her hairstyle was noticeably lighter and looked almost golden in the sun. Although she has naturally light brown hair, the sunlight seemed to brighten her strands, similar to the way Princess Kate Middleton’s color lifted earlier in the year. The Princess of Wales even brought up this hair shift on November 19, 2025, at the Royal Variety Performance, telling actress Su Pollard that sunshine had turned her own brown hair much lighter.
“It used to be brown, but it’s gone light in the sunshine,” Kate revealed.
Charlotte charms Sandringham fans
Adding a sweet touch, Princess Charlotte channeled her own mom’s vibes by wearing a black velvet bow believed to have been borrowed from her. The Princess of Wales appeared to wear the same accessory at King Charles’ pre-Christmas lunch at Buckingham Palace on December 16, 2025. Magazine about the velvet bow and its connection with both mother and daughter.

The event highlighted the way Princess Charlotte greeted the public with confidence, and one video captured her smiling and taking a selfie. Royal journalist Alexandra Hurtado noted how polite and composed the Wales children were, reflecting the politeness of their parents.
“I was genuinely impressed by how polite the Wales children are and how gracefully they handle the spotlight, meeting strangers and engaging with the crowd,” Hurtado said.
