Identifying makeup by sight alone is usually a risky sport, which is why verified info always matters. Over the years, several red lipsticks worn by Taylor Swift have been officially named, but the Eras Tour shade remained a complete mystery. Many fans assumed it was from Pat McGrath, who did Taylor’s makeup for the “Bejeweled” music video and her 2022 MTV VMA appearance, but no confirmation was ever made.
However, the enigma was solved with footage from The End of an Era, where makeup artist Lorrie Turk is seen applying the songwriter’s lip color from a thin silver tube that looks exactly like MAC’s Locked Kiss packaging. That exact moment opened the door for fans to start researching the beauty brand.
Ruby True, Gutsy, or a combination of the two 
And here’s what they found: MAC’s Locked Kiss 24HR Lipstick comes in multiple reds, including Gutsy, Extra Chili, and Ruby True. MAC later confirmed that Ruby True is the shade used. Still, a little mystery remains since makeup artists often mix colors for perfection, so fans on the Internet are speculating that the singer might have been using a combination of Ruby True and Gutsy. Not totally mystery-free, but pretty close!
